Flood Awareness

They say you’re only as good as your last performance. For me, this project might be my most meaningful yet. After the devastating Moab flood of 2022, the state of Utah approached us with a mission: to create a video that would resonate with people and raise awareness about the unique desert landscape so vulnerable to flash flooding. From the moment I heard about a husband and wife who lost their campground to the flood, I knew this was a story that had to be told, not as a statistic but as a deeply personal journey.

Over the past year, my team has worked hard to encourage FEMA to embrace real, human-centered storytelling—a move away from the typical talking-head approach that can feel impersonal. This time, with an extraordinary family, an incredible producer, and a talented up-and-coming director by my side, we captured a narrative that’s raw, genuine, and, I believe, impactful. It’s the kind of work that reminds me why I chose this path, and I’m grateful to contribute to real change in Moab.
